| 4 (Gdyż oręże naszego boju nie są cielesne, ale mocne poprzez Boga na zwalenie warowni). | 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) |
| 5 Zrzucając wyobrażenia, i wszelką wyniosłą rzecz, która wywyższa się przeciwko poznaniu Boga, i biorąc w niewolę wszelką myśl do posłuszeństwa Chrystusowi; | 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; |
| 6 I mając w gotowości aby pomścić wszelakie nieposłuszeństwo, gdy wasze posłuszeństwo jest wypełnione. | 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. |
| 7 Czy patrzycie na rzeczy według zewnętrznego wyglądu? Jeśli jakiś człowiek jest przekonany, że należy do Chrystusa, niech sam o sobie jeszcze raz przemyśli, że jak on należy do Chrystusa, tak my należymy do Chrystusa. | 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. |
| 8 Bo choćbym się nieco bardziej chlubił z naszego autorytetu, który Pan dał nam dla budowania, a nie dla waszego zniszczenia, nie będę zawstydzony: | 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: |
| 9 Żebym nie sprawiał wrażenia, że chcę was straszyć listami. | 9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. |
| 10 Bo mówią, że jego listy są ważkie i mocne; ale jego cielesna osobowość jest słaba, a jego mowa godna pogardy. | 10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. |
| 11 Niech ktoś taki myśli następująco, że jakimi jesteśmy w słowie przez listy, gdy jesteśmy nieobecni, takimi też będziemy w czynie, gdy będziemy obecni. | 11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present. |
| 12 Bo nie odważamy się zaliczać siebie do tej liczby, ani porównywać się z niektórymi, którzy wyróżniają sami siebie: lecz ci, którzy mierzą się przez samych siebie i porównują się sami ze sobą, nie są mądrzy. | 12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. |
| 13 Ale my nie będziemy się chlubili rzeczami bez naszej miary, ale według miary reguły, którą Bóg nam rozdzielił, miary, która sięga nawet do was. | 13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. |

| 15 Nie chlubiąc się z rzeczy bez naszej miary, to jest, z trudów innych ludzi; ale mając nadzieję, gdy wasza wiara wzrośnie, że będziemy przez was powiększeni obficie zgodnie z naszą regułą, | 15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, |
| 16 Żeby głosić ewangelię poza waszymi obszarami, i nie chlubić się cudzym zakresem pracy, rzeczami do ręki nam przygotowanych. | 16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand. |
| 17 Lecz ten, kto się chlubi, niech się chlubi w Panu. | 17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. |
| 18 Bo nie ten jest uznany, kto sam siebie poleca, lecz ten, kogo Pan poleca. | 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. |
