| 1 Po tym było święto Żydów; i Jezus udał się do Jerozolimy. | 1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. |
| 2 A jest w Jerozolimie przy owczym rynku sadzawka, która zwana jest w języku hebrajskim Betesda, mająca pięć ganków. | 2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. |
| 3 W nich leżał wielki tłum niedołężnych ludzi, ze ślepych, chromych, wyschłych, czekających na poruszenie wody. | 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. |
| 4 Bowiem Anioł zstępował co pewien czas do sadzawki, i poruszał wodę: wtedy ktokolwiek pierwszy wszedł po poruszeniu wody, zostawał uzdrowiony z jakichkolwiek dolegliwości jakie miał. | 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. |
| 5 A był tam pewien człowiek, który miał ułomność od trzydziestu i ośmiu lat. | 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. |
| 6 Gdy Jezus zobaczył go leżącego, i poznał że jest w tym stanie przez długi czas, mówi do niego, Chcesz być uzdrowiony? | 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? |
| 7 Bezwładny mężczyzna odpowiedział mu, Sir, nie mam człowieka, gdy woda zostaje poruszona, aby wniósł mnie do sadzawki: lecz gdy ja podążam, inny wchodzi przede mną. | 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. |
| 8 Jezus mówi do niego, Wstań, weź swoje łóżko i chodź. | 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. |
| 9 I natychmiast ten człowiek został uzdrowiony, i podniósł swoje łóżko, i chodził: a tego samego dnia był szabat. | 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. |
| 10 Żydzi zatem powiedzieli do tego który został uzdrowiony, Jest dzień szabatu: nie jest zgodne z prawem abyś nosił swoje łóżko. | 10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. |
| 11 Odpowiedział im, Ten, który mnie uzdrowił, ten sam powiedział do mnie, Podnieś swoje łóżko, i chodź. | 11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. |
| 12 Wtedy oni zapytali go, Cóż to za człowiek, który ci powiedział, Weź swoje łóżko, i chodź? | 12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? |
| 13 A ten uzdrowiony nie wiedział kto to był: bo Jezus przeniósł się dalej, tłum będąc w tym miejscu. | 13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. |
| 14 Potem Jezus znajduje go w świątyni, i powiedział do niego, Oto zostałeś uzdrowiony: nie grzesz więcej, aby nie przyszło na ciebie coś gorszego. | 14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. |
| 15 Człowiek ten odszedł, i powiedział Żydom, że to był Jezus, który go uzdrowił. | 15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. |
| 16 I dlatego Żydzi prześladowali Jezusa, i usiłowali go zabić, ponieważ uczynił te rzeczy w dzień szabatu. | 16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. |
| 17 Ale Jezus odpowiedział im, Mój Ojciec działa dotąd, i ja działam. | 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. |
| 18 Dlatego Żydzi tym bardziej usiłowali go zabić, ponieważ nie tylko złamał szabat, ale mówił, że Bóg jest jego Ojcem, czyniąc się równym Bogu. | 18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. |
| 19 Wtedy odpowiedział Jezus i rzekł do nich, Zaprawdę, zaprawdę powiadam wam, Syn nie może nic czynić sam z siebie, ale tylko to, co widzi, że Ojciec czyni: bowiem jakiekolwiek rzeczy on czyni, to i Syn czyni tak samo. | 19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. |
| 20 Bo Ojciec miłuje Syna, i ukazuje mu wszystkie rzeczy, które sam czyni: i pokaże mu większe dzieła niż te, abyście mogli się dziwić. | 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. |
| 21 Bowiem jak Ojciec podnosi umarłych, i ożywia ich; tak też Syn ożywia tych których chce. | 21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. |
| 22 Bo Ojciec nie sądzi żadnego człowieka, lecz powierzył cały sąd Synowi: | 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: |
| 23 Aby wszyscy ludzie czcili Syna, tak jak czczą Ojca. Ten kto nie czci Syna, nie czci Ojca, który go posłał. | 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. |
| 24 Zaprawdę, zaprawdę powiadam wam, Ten kto słucha mego słowa, i pokłada wiarę w tego, który mnie posłał, ma życie wieczne, i nie wejdzie w potępienie; ale przeszedł ze śmierci do życia. | 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. |
| 25 Zaprawdę, zaprawdę powiadam wam, Nadchodzi godzina, i teraz jest, gdy umarli usłyszą głos Syna Boga: a ci, którzy słyszą, będą żyć. | 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. |
| 26 Bowiem jak Ojciec ma życie sam w sobie; tak dał Synowi, aby miał życie w samym sobie; | 26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; |
| 27 I dał mu również autorytet wykonywania sądu, ponieważ on jest Synem człowieczym. | 27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. |
| 28 Nie dziwcie się temu: bo nadchodzi godzina, w której wszyscy, którzy są w grobach, usłyszą jego głos, | 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, |
| 29 I wyjdą; ci którzy dobrze czynili, na zmartwychwstanie życia; a ci, którzy diabelsko czynili, na zmartwychwstanie potępienia. | 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. |
| 30 Ja sam od siebie nie mogę nic czynić: jak słyszę, tak sądzę: a mój sąd jest sprawiedliwy; bo nie szukam swojej własnej woli, ale woli Ojca, który mnie posłał. | 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. |
| 31 Jeśli ja niosę świadectwo sam o sobie, moje świadectwo nie jest prawdziwe. | 31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. |
| 32 Jest inny, kto niesie świadectwo o mnie; i ja wiem, że świadectwo, które świadczy o mnie, jest prawdziwe. | 32 There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true. |
| 33 Wy posłaliście do Jana, a on niósł świadectwo ku prawdzie. | 33 Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. |
| 34 Lecz ja nie przyjmuję świadectwa od człowieka: ale mówię te rzeczy, abyście mogli być zbawieni. | 34 But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved. |
| 35 On był płonącym i lśniącym światłem: i wy chcieliście przez pewien czas radować się w jego światłości. | 35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. |
| 36 Ale ja mam większe świadectwo niż Jana: bo dzieła, które Ojciec dał mi do zakończenia, te same dzieła, które czynię, niosą świadectwo o mnie, że Ojciec mnie posłał. | 36 But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. |
| 37 A sam Ojciec, który mnie posłał, niósł świadectwo o mnie. Nie słyszeliście nigdy jego głosu, ani nie widzieliście jego postaci. | 37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. |
| 38 I nie macie jego słowa trwającego w was: bo którego on posłał, jemu nie wierzycie. | 38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. |
| 39 Badajcie pisma; bowiem myślicie, że w nich macie życie wieczne: a one są tymi, które świadczą o mnie. | 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. |
| 40 A nie chcecie przyjść do mnie, abyście mogli mieć życie. | 40. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. |
| 41 Nie przyjmuję czci od ludzi. | 41 I receive not honour from men. |
| 42 Ale poznałem was, że nie macie miłości Boga w sobie. | 42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. |
| 43 Przychodzę w imieniu mego Ojca, a wy nie przyjmujecie mnie: jeśli inny przyjdzie w swoim własnym imieniu, jego przyjmiecie. | 43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. |
| 44 Jakże możecie wierzyć, którzy przyjmujecie cześć jedni od drugich, a nie szukacie czci, która przychodzi od samego Boga? | 44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? |
| 45 Nie myślcie, że ja was będę oskarżał przed Ojcem: jest jeden, kto was oskarża, właśnie Mojżesz, w którym wy pokładacie ufność. | 45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. |
| 46 Bo gdybyście wierzyli Mojżeszowi, wierzylibyście mnie; bo on pisał o mnie. | 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. |
| 47 Ale jeśli nie wierzycie jego pismom, jakże uwierzycie moim słowom? | 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? |
