| 1 I przeprawili się na drugą stronę morza do krainy Gadareńczyków. | 1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. |
| 2 A gdy on wyszedł z łodzi, natychmiast spotkał go tam człowiek z grobowców mający nieczystego ducha, | 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, |
| 3 Który mieszkał wśród grobowców; i żaden człowiek nie mógł go związać, nie, nie łańcuchami: | 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: |
| 4 Dlatego że często był wiązany pętami i łańcuchami, a łańcuchy były przez niego rozrywane, a pęta łamane na kawałki: ani żaden człowiek nie mógł go poskromić. | 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. |
| 5 A zawsze, w dzień i w nocy, przebywał w górach, i w grobowcach, krzycząc, i tnąc siebie kamieniami. | 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. |
| 6 Lecz gdy zobaczył Jezusa w oddali, przybiegł i wielbił go, | 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, |
| 7 I wołał donośnym głosem, i powiedział, Cóż mnie i tobie, Jezusie, Synu najwyższego Boga? Zaklinam cię na Boga, abyś mnie nie dręczył. | 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. |
| 8 Bo powiedział mu, Wyjdź z tego człowieka, nieczysty duchu. | 8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. |
| 9 I zapytał go, Jak ci na imię? A on odpowiedział, mówiąc, Na imię mi Legion: bo jest nas wielu. | 9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. |
| 10 I błagał go bardzo, aby nie wyganiał ich z tej krainy. | 10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. |
| 11 A było tam w pobliżu gór wielkie stado pasących się świń. | 11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. |
| 12 I wszystkie te diabły błagały go, mówiąc, Poślij nas w te świnie, abyśmy mogły w nie wejść. | 12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. |
| 13 I bezzwłocznie Jezus im pozwolił. I nieczyste duchy, wyszły, i weszły w świnie: a stado ruszyło pędem po urwisku do morza (było ich około dwóch tysięcy) i zadusiły się w morzu. | 13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. |
| 14 A ci, którzy paśli świnie, uciekli, i opowiedzieli o tym w mieście, i na wsi. I wyszli, aby zobaczyć co zostało dokonane. | 14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. |
| 15 I przyszli do Jezusa, i zobaczyli tego, który był opętany diabłem, i miał ich legion, siedzącego, i ubranego, i przy zdrowym zmyśle: I bali się. | 15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. |
| 16 A ci, którzy to widzieli, opowiedzieli im jak to spadło na tego, który był opętany diabłem, a także odnośnie świń. | 16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine. |
| 17 A oni zaczęli go prosić, aby odszedł z ich granic. | 17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. |
| 18 A gdy przyszedł do łodzi, ten, który był opętany diabłem, prosił go, aby mógł z nim zostać. | 18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. |
| 19 Jednakże Jezus mu nie pozwolił, ale mówi do niego, Idź do domu, do swoich przyjaciół, i opowiedz im, jak wielkie rzeczy Pan ci uczynił, i jak się nad tobą zmiłował. | 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. |
| 20 I on odszedł, i zaczął opowiadać w Dekapolu, jak wielkie rzeczy Jezus mu uczynił: i wszyscy ludzie się dziwili. | 20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel. |
| 21 A gdy Jezus przeprawił się ponownie łodzią na drugą stronę, mnóstwo ludzi zebrało się wokół niego: a był blisko morza. | 21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea. |
| 22 A oto przychodzi tam jeden z przełożonych synagogi, imieniem Jair; a gdy go zobaczył, padł mu do stóp, | 22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, |
| 23 I błagał go usilnie, mówiąc, Moja córeczka leży u progu śmierci: Proszę cię, przyjdź i połóż na nią swoje ręce, aby została uzdrowiona; i będzie żyła. | 23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. |
| 24 I Jezus poszedł z nim; i mnóstwo ludzi szło za nim, i napierali na niego. | 24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. |
| 25 A pewna kobieta, która cierpiała na krwotok od dwunastu lat, | 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, |
| 26 I wiele wycierpiała od licznych lekarzy, i wydała wszystko co miała, a nic jej się nie polepszyło, a raczej się pogorszyło, | 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, |
| 27 Gdy usłyszała o Jezusie, podeszła w ścisku od tyłu, i dotknęła jego odzieży. | 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. |
| 28 Bowiem mówiła, Jeśli dotknę choćby jego ubrania, będę zdrowa. | 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. |
| 29 I od razu źródło jej krwi wyschło; i poczuła w swoim ciele, że została uzdrowiona z tej zarazy. | 29. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. |
| 30 A Jezus, natychmiast poznając w sobie, że wyszła z niego moc, odwrócił się w ścisku i rzekł, Kto dotknął mojego ubrania? | 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? |
| 31 A jego uczniowie powiedzieli do niego, Widzisz tłum napierający na ciebie, a mówisz, Kto mnie dotknął? | 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? |
| 32 I spojrzał wokoło, aby zobaczyć tę, która to uczyniła. | 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. |
| 33 Lecz kobieta ze strachem i z drżeniem, wiedząc co w niej zostało uczynione, podeszła i upadła przed nim, i wyznała mu całą prawdę. | 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. |
| 34 A on powiedział do niej, Córko, twoja wiara cię uzdrowiła; idź w pokoju, i bądź uzdrowiona ze swojej zarazy. | 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. |
| 35 A gdy jeszcze mówił, przyszli od przełożonego synagogi tacy, którzy mówili, Twoja córka umarła: czemu dalej trudzisz Mistrza? | 35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? |
| 36 Jak tylko Jezus usłyszał słowo, które było powiedziane, mówi do przełożonego synagogi, Nie bój się, tylko wierz. | 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe. |
| 37 I nie pozwolił żadnemu człowiekowi iść za nim, oprócz Piotra, i Jamesa, i Jana, brata Jamesa. | 37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. |
| 38 A przychodzi do domu przełożonego synagogi, i widzi tumult, i tych, którzy płakali i bardzo zawodzili. | 38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. |
| 39 A gdy wszedł, mówi do nich, Dlaczego robicie zamęt i płaczecie? Dziewczynka nie umarła, tylko śpi. | 39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. |
| 40 I śmiali się z niego, aż do pogardy. Więc gdy on wszystkich wyrzucił, bierze ze sobą ojca i matkę dziewczynki oraz tych, którzy z nim byli, i wchodzi tam, gdzie leżała dziewczynka. | 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. |
| 41 I ujął dziewczynkę za rękę, i powiedział do niej, Talitha kumi; co się tłumaczy, Dziewczynko, mówię ci, wstań. | 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. |
| 42 I od razu dziewczynka wstała, i chodziła; bowiem była w wieku dwunastu lat. A oni byli zdumieni z wielkim zdumieniem. | 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. |
| 43 A on surowo im nakazał, aby żaden człowiek się o tym nie dowiedział; i przykazał, aby dano jej coś do jedzenia. | 43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. |
