| 1 Gdy więc Pan poznał, że Faryzeusze usłyszeli, że Jezus pozyskał i chrzcił więcej uczniów niż Jan, | 1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, |
| 2 (Chociaż sam Jezus nie chrzcił, lecz jego uczniowie,) | 2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) |
| 3 Opuścił Judeę, i odszedł znowu do Galilei. | 3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. |
| 4 A musiał iść poprzez Samarię. | 4 And he must needs go through Samaria. |
| 5 Wtedy przychodzi do miasta w Samarii, które nazywa się Sychar, blisko działki ziemi, którą Jakub dał swemu synowi Józefowi. | 5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. |
| 6 A była tam studnia Jakuba. Jezus więc, zmęczony podróżą, usiadł zatem na studni: a było około godziny szóstej. | 6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. |
| 7 Przychodzi tam kobieta z Samarii, aby zaczerpnąć wody: Jezus mówi do niej, Daj mi pić. | 7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. |
| 8 (Bo jego uczniowie poszli do miasta, aby kupić żywność.) | 8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) |
| 9 Wtedy kobieta z Samarii mówi do niego, Jak to jest, że ty, będąc Żydem, prosisz mnie, kobietę z Samarii, o picie? gdyż Żydzi nie mają żadnych interesów z Samarytanami. | 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. |
| 10 Jezus odpowiedział i rzekł do niej, Gdybyś znała ten dar Boga, i kim jest ten, który ci mówi, Daj mi pić; ty prosiłabyś go, a on dałby ci żyjącej wody. | 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. |
| 11 Kobieta mówi do niego, Sir, nie masz czym naczerpać, a studnia jest głęboka: skąd więc masz tę żyjącą wodę? | 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? |
| 12 Czy ty jesteś większy niż nasz ojciec Jakub, który nam dał tę studnię, i sam z niej pił, i jego synowie, i jego bydło? | 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? |
| 13 Jezus odpowiedział i rzekł do niej, Ktokolwiek pije z tej wody, znowu będzie pragnął: | 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: |
| 14 Lecz ktokolwiek pije z wody, którą ja mu dam, nigdy nie będzie pragnął; ale woda, którą ja mu dam, stanie się w nim źródłem wody wytryskującej do życia wiecznego. | 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |
| 15 Kobieta mówi do niego, Sir, daj mi tej wody, abym nie pragnęła, i nie przychodziła tu czerpać. | 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. |
| 16 Jezus mówi do niej, Idź, zawołaj swego męża i przyjdź tu. | 16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. |
| 17 Kobieta odpowiedziała i rzekła, Nie mam męża. Jezus powiedział do niej, Dobrze powiedziałaś, Nie mam męża: | 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: |
| 18 Bo miałaś pięciu mężów; a ten, którego masz teraz nie jest twoim mężem: w tym prawdę powiedziałaś. | 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. |
| 19 Kobieta mówi do niego, Sir, spostrzegam, że jesteś prorokiem. | 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. |
| 20 Nasi ojcowie na tej górze wielbili; a wy mówicie, że w Jerozolimie jest miejsce, gdzie należy wielbić. | 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. |
| 21 Jezus mówi do niej, Kobieto, wierz mi, że nadchodzi godzina, gdy ani na tej górze, ani jeszcze w Jerozolimie nie będziecie wielbić Ojca. | 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. |
| 22 Wy wielbicie nie wiedząc co: my wiemy co wielbimy: gdyż zbawienie jest z Żydów. | 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. |
| 23 Ale nadchodzi godzina, i już jest, gdy prawdziwi wielbiciele będą wielbić Ojca w duchu i w prawdzie: bo Ojciec szuka takich, aby go wielbili. | 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. |
| 24 Bóg jest Duchem: i ci którzy go wielbią, muszą wielbić go w duchu i w prawdzie. | 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |
| 25 Kobieta mówi do niego, Wiem, że nadchodzi Mesjasz, zwany Chrystusem: kiedy przychodzi, powie nam wszystko. | 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. |
| 26 Jezus mówi do niej, Ja, który mówię do ciebie, jestem nim. | 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. |
| 27 A wtem przyszli jego uczniowie, i dziwili się że rozmawia z kobietą: jednak żaden człowiek nie powiedział, Czego szukasz? albo, Dlaczego z nią rozmawiasz? | 27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? |
| 28 A kobieta wtedy zostawiła swoje wiadro, i poszła swoją drogą do miasta, i mówi ludziom, | 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, |
| 29 Chodźcie, zobaczcie człowieka, który mi powiedział wszystko co kiedykolwiek zrobiłam: czy to nie jest Chrystus? | 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? |
| 30 Wtedy wyszli z miasta, i przyszli do niego. | 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. |
| 31 A tymczasem jego uczniowie prosili go, mówiąc, Mistrzu, jedz. | 31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. |
| 32 Lecz on im powiedział, Ja mam pokarm do jedzenia, o którym wy nie wiecie. | 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. |
| 33 Zatem uczniowie mówili jeden do drugiego, Czy jakiś człowiek przyniósł mu coś do jedzenia? | 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? |
| 34 Jezus mówi do nich, Moim pokarmem jest wypełniać wolę tego, który mnie posłał, i dokonać jego dzieła. | 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. |
| 35 Czyż nie mówicie, Jeszcze cztery miesiące, i wtedy przychodzi żniwo? oto mówię wam, Podnieście wasze oczy, i przypatrzcie się polom; bo już są białe, gotowe do żniwa. | 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. |
| 36 A ten kto żnie, otrzymuje zapłatę, i zbiera owoc na życie wieczne: aby i ten, kto sieje, i ten, kto żnie, mogli razem się radować. | 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. |
| 37 A w tym prawdziwa jest ta mowa, Jeden sieje, a inny żnie. | 37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. |
| 38 Ja was posłałem żąć to, nad czym nie pracowaliście: inni ludzie pracowali, a wy weszliście w ich pracę. | 38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. |
| 39 I wielu z Samarytan z tego miasta położyło wiarę w nim z powodu mowy tej kobiety, która świadczyła, Powiedział mi wszystko, co kiedykolwiek zrobiłam. | 39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. |
| 40 Gdy więc Samarytanie przyszli do niego, błagali go, aby z nimi został: i został tam przez dwa dni. | 40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. |
| 41 I wielu więcej uwierzyło z powodu jego własnego słowa; | 41 And many more believed because of his own word; |
| 42 I powiedzieli do tej kobiety, Teraz wierzymy, nie z powodu twojej mowy: bowiem sami go słyszeliśmy, i wiemy że to jest prawdziwie Chrystus, Zbawiciel świata. | 42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. |
| 43 A po dwóch dniach odszedł stamtąd, i poszedł do Galilei. | 43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee. |
| 44 Bowiem Jezus sam świadczył, że prorok nie ma czci w swoim własnym kraju. | 44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country. |
| 45 Wtedy gdy przyszedł do Galilei, Galilejczycy przyjęli go, widząc wszystkie rzeczy, które uczynił w Jerozolimie w święto: bowiem oni też poszli na święto. | 45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast. |
| 46 Więc Jezus przyszedł znowu do Kany Galilejskiej, gdzie przemienił wodę w wino. A był tam pewien szlachcic, którego syn chorował w Kafarnaum. | 46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. |
| 47 Gdy usłyszał, że Jezus przyszedł z Judei do Galilei, udał się do niego, i błagał go, aby przyszedł, i uzdrowił jego syna: bo był bliski śmierci. | 47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. |
| 48 Wtedy Jezus powiedział do niego, Jeśli nie ujrzycie znaków i dziwów, nie uwierzycie. | 48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. |
| 49 Szlachcic mówi do niego, Sir, przyjdź, zanim moje dziecko umrze. | 49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. |
| 50 Jezus mówi do niego, Idź swoją drogą, twój syn żyje. I ten człowiek uwierzył słowu, które powiedział mu Jezus, i poszedł swoją drogą. | 50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. |
| 51 A gdy już schodził, spotkali go jego słudzy, i rzekli do niego, mówiąc, Twój syn żyje. | 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. |
| 52 Wtedy zapytał ich o godzinę w której poczuł on się lepiej. I powiedzieli do niego, Wczoraj o godzinie siódmej gorączka go opuściła. | 52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. |
| 53 Zatem ojciec poznał, że to była ta sama godzina, w której Jezus powiedział do niego, Twój syn żyje: i on sam uwierzył, i cały jego dom. | 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. |
| 54 To był znowu drugi cud, który Jezus uczynił, gdy wyszedł z Judei do Galilei. | 54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee. |
