| 3 Ten, kto strzeże swoich ust, strzeże swojego życia: lecz ten, kto szeroko otwiera swoje wargi, będzie miał zniszczenie. | 3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |
| 4 Dusza lenia pragnie, a nie ma nic: lecz dusza pilnych będzie uczyniona tłustą. | 4 The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. |
| 5 Sprawiedliwy człowiek nienawidzi kłamstwa: lecz podły człowiek jest odrażający, i przychodzi do hańby. | 5 A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame. |
| 6 Sprawiedliwość strzeże tego, kto jest prawy w postępowaniu: lecz podłość obala grzesznika. | 6 Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner. |
| 7 Jest taki, który czyni siebie bogatym, a nie ma nic: jest taki, który czyni siebie ubogim, a ma wielkie bogactwa. | 7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches. |
| 8 Okupem życia człowieka są jego bogactwa: lecz ubogi nie słyszy strofowania. | 8 The ransom of a man’s life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke. |
| 9 Światło sprawiedliwych raduje się: lecz lampa podłych będzie zgaszona. | 9 The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out. |
| 10 Tylko przez pychę przychodzi spór: lecz z dobrze doradzonymi jest mądrość. | 10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. |
| 11 Bogactwo zdobyte przez próżność będzie umniejszone: lecz ten, kto gromadzi przez trud, będzie wzrastał. | 11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. |
| 12 Nadzieja odwlekana czyni, że serce choruje: lecz gdy pragnienie przychodzi, jest drzewem życia. | 12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. |

| 21 Diabelstwo podąża za grzesznikami: lecz sprawiedliwym dobro będzie odpłacone. | 21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed. |
| 22 Dobry człowiek zostawia dziedzictwo dzieciom swoich dzieci: a bogactwo grzesznika jest odłożone dla sprawiedliwego. | 22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. |
| 23 Wiele pożywienia jest w uprawie ubogich: lecz jest taki, który jest zniszczony z braku osądu. | 23 Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for want of judgment. |
