| 1 A potem Jezus chodził po Galilei: bowiem nie chciał przebywać w Judei, ponieważ Żydzi usiłowali go zabić. | 1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. |
| 2 A żydowskie święto namiotów było w zasięgu ręki. | 2 Now the Jew’s feast of tabernacles was at hand. |
| 3 Jego bracia zatem powiedzieli do niego, Odejdź stąd, i idź do Judei, aby i twoi uczniowie widzieli dzieła, których dokonujesz. | 3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. |
| 4 Bowiem nie ma człowieka, który czyni coś w ukryciu, a sam zabiega o to, aby dać się poznać otwarcie. Jeśli takie rzeczy czynisz, ukaż się światu. | 4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. |
| 5 Bo nawet jego bracia nie wierzyli w niego. | 5 For neither did his brethren believe in him. |
| 6 Wtedy Jezus powiedział do nich, Mój czas jeszcze nie przychodzi: ale wasz czas zawsze jest gotowy. | 6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. |
| 7 Świat nie może was nienawidzić; ale mnie nienawidzi, ponieważ ja świadczę o nim, że jego uczynki są diabelskie. | 7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. |
| 8 Wy idźcie na to święto: ja jeszcze nie idę na to święto: bo mój czas jeszcze w pełni nie przychodzi. | 8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come. |
| 9 Gdy powiedział do nich te słowa, przebywał jeszcze w Galilei. | 9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. |
| 10 A gdy jego bracia poszli, wtedy i on poszedł na święto, nie otwarcie, ale jakby potajemnie. | 10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. |
| 11 Wtedy Żydzi szukali go na uczcie, i mówili, Gdzie on jest? | 11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? |
| 12 A wiele było szemrania wśród ludzi na jego temat: bo jedni mówili, Jest dobrym człowiekiem: inni mówili, Nie; lecz on zwodzi ludzi. | 12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. |
| 13 Jakkolwiek żaden człowiek nie mówił o nim otwarcie z obawy przed Żydami. | 13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. |
| 14 A w połowie święta, Jezus wszedł do świątyni, i nauczał. | 14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. |
| 15 A Żydzi dziwili się, mówiąc, Skąd ten człowiek zna pisma, nie ucząc się nigdy? | 15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? |
| 16 Jezus odpowiedział im i rzekł, Moja nauka nie jest moją, ale tego, który mnie posłał. | 16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. |
| 17 Jeśli jakikolwiek człowiek będzie czynił jego wolę, ten pozna naukę, czy jest od Boga, czy ja mówię od siebie. | 17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. |
| 18 Ten kto mówi od siebie, szuka własnej chwały: zaś ten kto szuka chwały tego, który go posłał, ten sam jest prawdziwy, i nie ma w nim żadnej niesprawiedliwości. | 18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. |
| 19 Czy Mojżesz nie dał wam prawa? a jednak żaden z was nie dotrzymuje prawa. Dlaczego chcecie mnie zabić? | 19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? |
| 20 Ludzie odpowiedzieli i rzekli, Masz diabła: kto chce cię zabić? | 20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? |
| 21 Jezus odpowiedział i rzekł do nich, Uczyniłem jedno dzieło, a wszyscy się dziwicie. | 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. |
| 22 Mojżesz zatem dał wam obrzezanie; (nie dlatego, że jest od Mojżesza, ale od ojców;) a wy w dzień szabatu obrzezacie człowieka. | 22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. |
| 23 Jeśli człowiek przyjmuje obrzezanie w dzień szabatu, aby prawo Mojżesza nie było złamane; czy jesteście źli na mnie, ponieważ całkowicie uzdrowiłem człowieka w dzień szabatu? | 23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? |
| 24 Nie sądźcie według pozoru, ale sądźcie sprawiedliwym sądem. | 24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. |
| 25 Wtedy niektórzy z Jerozolimy mówili, Czy to nie jest ten, którego usiłują zabić? | 25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? |
| 26 Ale oto on przemawia odważnie, a oni nic mu nie mówią. Czy przełożeni rzeczywiście poznali, że to jest prawdziwy Chrystus? | 26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? |
| 27 Jednakże my znamy tego człowieka, skąd on jest: lecz gdy Chrystus przychodzi, żaden człowiek nie wie skąd on jest. | 27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. |
| 28 Wtedy wołał Jezus w świątyni jak nauczał, mówiąc, Wy zarówno i znacie mnie, i wiecie skąd jestem: a ja nie przyszedłem sam od siebie, lecz ten, który mnie posłał jest prawdziwy, którego wy nie znacie. | 28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. |
| 29 Lecz ja go znam: bo ja jestem od niego, i on mnie posłał. | 29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. |
| 30 Wtedy usiłowali go schwytać: lecz żaden człowiek nie podniósł na niego ręki, ponieważ jego godzina jeszcze nie nadeszła. | 30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. |
| 31 A wielu z ludu położyło wiarę w nim i mówiło, Gdy Chrystus przychodzi, czyż uczyni więcej cudów, niż te, które uczynił ten człowiek? | 31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? |
| 32 Faryzeusze słyszeli, że ludzie szemrali takie rzeczy na jego temat; i Faryzeusze oraz główni kapłani posłali podwładnych, aby go schwytać. | 32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. |
| 33 Wtedy Jezus powiedział do nich, Jeszcze krótki czas jestem z wami, a potem idę do tego, który mnie posłał. | 33 Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. |
| 34 Będziecie mnie szukać, a nie znajdziecie mnie: a gdzie ja jestem, tam wy przyjść nie możecie. | 34 Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. |
| 35 Wtedy Żydzi mówili między sobą, Dokąd on pójdzie, że go nie znajdziemy? czy pójdzie do rozproszonych wśród Gojów, i będzie nauczał Gojów? | 35 Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? |
| 36 Cóż to za sposób mowy, który on wypowiedział: Będziecie mnie szukać, a nie znajdziecie mnie; a gdzie ja jestem, tam wy przyjść nie możecie? | 36 What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? |
| 37 A w ostatnim dniu, tym wielkim dniu święta, Jezus stanął i wołał, mówiąc, Jeśli jakikolwiek człowiek pragnie, niech przyjdzie do mnie i pije. | 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. |
| 38 Ten kto pokłada wiarę we mnie, jak powiedziało pismo, z jego brzucha popłyną rzeki żyjącej wody. | 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. |
| 39 (Ale to mówił o Duchu, którego ci, którzy pokładają wiarę w nim mają otrzymać: bo Duch Święty jeszcze nie był dany; ponieważ Jezus nie został jeszcze uwielbiony.) | 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) |
| 40 Wielu więc z tych ludzi, gdy słyszeli tę mowę, mówiło, Prawdą jest, że to jest Prorok. | 40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. |
| 41 Inni mówili, To jest Chrystus. Lecz niektórzy mówili, Czy Chrystus przyjdzie z Galilei? | 41 Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? |
| 42 Czyż nie powiedziało pismo, Że Chrystus przychodzi z nasienia Dawida, i z miasta Betlejem, gdzie był Dawid? | 42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? |
| 43 Tak nastąpił tam rozłam wśród ludu z jego powodu. | 43 So there was a division among the people because of him. |
| 44 I niektórzy z nich chcieli go schwytać; lecz żaden człowiek nie podniósł na niego ręki. | 44 And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. |
| 45 Wtedy przyszli podwładni do głównych kapłanów i do Faryzeuszy; i powiedzieli do nich, Dlaczego go nie przyprowadziliście? | 45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? |
| 46 Podwładni odpowiedzieli, Nigdy człowiek nie mówił tak jak ten człowiek. | 46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man. |
| 47 Wtedy odpowiedzieli im Faryzeusze, Czy i wy jesteście zwiedzeni? | 47 Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? |
| 48 Czy ktoś z przełożonych albo z Faryzeuszy położył wiarę w nim? | 48 Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? |
| 49 Lecz to pospólstwo, które nie zna prawa, jest przeklęte. | 49 But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. |
| 50 Nikodemus mówi do nich, (ten, który przyszedł do Jezusa nocą, będąc jednym z nich,) | 50 Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) |
| 51 Czy nasze prawo osądza jakiegokolwiek człowieka, zanim go wysłucha, i pozna co on czyni? | 51 Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? |
| 52 Oni odpowiedzieli i rzekli do niego, Czy i ty jesteś z Galilei? Badaj, i zobacz: bo z Galilei nie powstaje żaden prorok. | 52 They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. |
| 53 I każdy człowiek poszedł do swego własnego domu. | 53 And every man went unto his own house. |
